The coral reef is the island in the infinite ocean of the universe which is carefully surrounded by his warm currents. The coral reef blows imagination with magnificence of a landscape, variety of the living beings adorned with all colours of the rainbow.
The coral reef has grown on skeletons of its predecessors. It has its own hierarchy and canons.
An efforts are needed in order to see the coral reef hidden from us by waters of the ocean. Agnostic, plunged into ocean waters, would see and drown without solution of the riddle of a coral reef.
The metaphor of a coral reef and iconostasis of Christian church is based on aesthetic concerns and doesn't demand comments of theologians and representatives of science.

"Ichthus" is a backronym for "Iēsous Christos, Theou Yios, Sōtēr", which translates into English as "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour".
Iconostasis (from the Greek "eikonostási", which means "icon stand") is a wall of icons and religious paintings.
Coral reefs are diverse underwater ecosystems held together by calcium carbonate structures secreted by corals. Coral reefs are built by colonies of tiny animals most commonly found at shallow depths in tropical waters. Most coral reefs are built from stony corals. Often called "rainforests of the sea" or "underwater gardens", coral reefs form some of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth.
